Samburu Dik-Dik Lodge is located alongside the Ewaso Nyero river, facing Shaba National Reserve, just 2km outside Archers Post, where the entrance of Samburu National Reserve is. Buffalo Spring and Shaba National Reserve entrances are also just a few kilometers aways.
It is a pleasant and spectacular 2 hours drive from Nanyuki (120 km), going up to Kisima Farm and then down to Isiolo and finally Archers Post in the dryland of the Northen Frontier. From Nairobi, you can count about 5:30 h (310 km), all on the paved and well maintained A2.
When you reach Archers Post, turn right after the bridge, doing almost a U-turn on a dirt road on the right hand side of the main road when you are coming from Isiolo, and follow directions to Lion’s Cave until you see the sign for Dik-Dik Lodge (after about 2km). You will then see the sand-colored Samburu Dik-Dik Lodge, surrounded by a stone wall, just a little further down on your left. Drive up to the gate and press the door-bell or call us so that we may open the gate for you.
