Samburu Dik-Dik Lodge is beautifully situated along the banks of the Ewaso Nyero River, directly facing Shaba National Reserve. The lodge is just 2 km from Archers Post, where the main entrance to Samburu National Reserve is located. The entrances to Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves are also only a few kilometers away, making the lodge an ideal base for exploring the region.
The drive from Nanyuki is a scenic and enjoyable 2 hours (120 km), passing through Kisima Farm, descending toward Isiolo, and continuing to Archers Post in Kenya’s Northern Frontier.
From Nairobi, the journey takes approximately 5½ hours (310 km) via the paved and well-maintained A2 highway.
Final Directions from Archers Post
Once you reach Archers Post (coming from Isiolo), cross the bridge and immediately turn right onto a dirt road — almost a U-turn from the main road. Follow the signs toward Lion’s Cave for about 2 km until you see the sign for Samburu Dik-Dik Lodge.
You will soon spot the sand-colored lodge, enclosed by a stone wall, on your left-hand side. Drive up to the gate and ring the doorbell or give us a call, and we will be happy to open the gate and welcome you.
